Our Team
Matt Kelly
Matt Kelly has been involved in the visual effects industry for over 25 years as a visual effects artist and post production professional. The groundwork for Matt’s color science and post knowledge took place while working at EFilm Digital Laboratories in Hollywood as an imaging technician, including work on the world’s first 2K digital intermediate color timing sequences for “Batman Forever” in 1995. His VFX and compositing work can be seen in over forty-five film and television projects including “Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers”, “Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe”, “300”, “Snow White & the Huntsman”, “Houdini”, “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice”, “Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events”, “Spenser Confidential” and most recently, “The Tomorrow Wars”. Matt has now brought all the disciplines he has developed over the years, from color grading, to compositing to post production management and supervision, under one roof with the creation of Gamma Ray Studios in 2016.
Lynn Hobson
Lynn Hobson’s film career was launched steps away from the famous Hollywood & Vine intersection while supervising post production and editorial duties for the Chanticleer Films’ Discovery Program on Showtime. Those formative years were followed by an eclectic mix of Roger Corman action movies, Visual FX editing at Warner Brothers, and independent cult movie favorites such as “My Life with Morrissey”. She soon found herself editing Todd McFarlane’s animated HBO series “Spawn” and followed up as the editor on the first three seasons of Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob Squarepants. In 2003 she followed her SpongeBob crew over to Paramount Pictures as the lead editor on The SpongeBob Squarepants Movie. Lynn spent several years working as an associate editor at DreamWorks Animation on “The Penguins of Madagascar”, “Shrek Forever After”, “Monster vs Aliens” and “MegaMind”. In 2012, she embarked on an epic Viking journey as Lead Editor on the “Dragons, Riders of Berk” television series, earning her two Annie award nominations. She returned to live action editing with her involvement on the 2016 independent feature film “Finding Sofia”, cut entirely at the home offices of Gamma Ray Studios. Since 2020, Lynn has been working with Sony Pictures Animation, cutting the animated feature film “Hotel Transylvania 4”.
